SuperCar City

The two main characters of SuperCar city Daniel and Stacey.

I helped establish the look and feel of the characters and vehicles with our conceptartist. Translating the ideas into 3D models that would hold the feel and vibe of the conceptart, but would also be functional.

There were a few principles to keep in mind that dictated how things where set up:

All characters had to fit in each vehicle. This meant fixed seating position, backrest height and steeringwheel position.

All characters shared the same rig and animations. For this we had to make sure all characters shared the same proportions.

Each costume should fit on every character without resorting to scaling, adjusting or making multiple instances of costumes. This we tackled by having the characters share similar topology. To make sure all pieces of clothing fit nicely, 'borders' were made in the character topology where clothing items would connect too and unneeded geometry could easilly be hidden.
